Shoe Insert for Patients with Diabetes
The purpose of this project was to develop a shoe insert for patients with diabetic neuropathy to analyze physiological parameters of the foot that could be related to pain. The data acquired from this product is meant to be used by healthcare workers to help them improve the treatment.
The first prototype of this project has 4 temperature sensors to measure temperature at different parts of the foot and 1 accelerometer to measure movement and estimate the physical activity on this area of the body. It also has bluetooth connection to visualize data on a laptop in real time.
